Oxfam Novib Academy
Oxfam Novib Academy
The Oxfam Novib Academy bridges academia and practice within the field of development work. As a learning organization, Oxfam Novib sees the need to connect theory & practice as well as personal & organizational development to deal with the ‘wicked problems’ we are addressing. Creating a just world without poverty requires collaboration and an open attitude towards new insights that can help us remain cutting-edge and effective.
By offering internships in our programme and campaign teams, we aim to give students worldwide the opportunity to contribute to improving the quality of our projects. We provide a set of academic and applied internships for students of various backgrounds. The majority of internships take place twice a year, with intakes in February and September. Throughout the year other internship vacancies might be advertised, according to teams’ needs. Please check our Blog Page for up-to-date information on the Academy and on vacancies available.
The Internship Experience
The Oxfam Novib Academy guarantees for a high-quality internship experience in which students get the opportunity to develop personally and professionally. During the time of the internship, we provide students with mentorship, skills workshops, opportunities to showcase their work as well as networking meetings with practitioners. We assist students in creating the biggest possible impact with the work and knowledge they contribute to Oxfam Novib.

Next to facilitating internships, the Oxfam Novib Academy aims at building stronger links between academic institutions and the development world. We do this by facilitating shared events, lectures and visits.
